Felipe Tichauer’s passion for music and sound started at a young age with music classes in his native country of Brazil. After graduating from the Recording Arts Program at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, he was hired as a broadcast audio engineer for the Discovery Channel/BBC Network in Miami. His love for music soon led him to new endeavors, engineering award winning records for artists including Christina Aguilera, Mew, Rod Stewart, CEU, Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Sean Kingston, Michael Bolton among others.

At the age of 20, he received a Record of The Year nomination and a Latin Grammy for his work on Christina Aguilera’s Spanish debut album “Mi Reflejo”. Soon after, his career took off leading to another nomination, this time in the Album of The Year category, for his work on Alexandre Pires’ “Estrella Guia”. To this date Felipe has been awarded two Latin Grammys and contributed as an engineer to another 14 Grammy-nominated projects. Looking for different experiences, he moved to Los Angeles to engineer for rock producer Michael Beinhorn. While there, he worked on various projects, including Danish alternative rock sensation Mew and American folk rock artist Pete Yorn.

In 2005, Felipe returned from Los Angeles to Miami to open his own studio, Red Traxx Music, further developing his style and techniques. It was only natural for the company to be created, since Felipe’s clients frequently requested for him not only to perform as an audio engineer, but also to produce and develop projects. His experience as a recording and mixing engineer came as a great advantage in the transition to additional roles such as production, songwriting, and mastering. He enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their goals. Felipe is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German, and is a member of the screening committee of the Latin GRAMMYs.
